The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Wins First Place in the Employee Engagement and Human Resources Practices Maturity Awards for 2023

For the second consecutive year, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah achieved first place in the awards presented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the category of ministries with the highest employee engagement. It also won first place in the "Human Resources Practices Maturity" award for 2023, in the ministries category. The two awards were received by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat, from His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, at a ceremony held in Riyadh. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah achieved the highest employee engagement index among ministries, with a rate of 93.40%, and received a score of 3.09 out of 4 as the ministry with the highest maturity of human resources practices for 2023. This is part of the Ministry’s efforts to empower employees to contribute to achieving targets by improving the work environment and making it pioneering and motivating for creativity and innovation. The Employee Engagement Program aims to measure employees' needs in seven main areas, assess the work environment in government entities, and enhance belonging and employee satisfaction at work. Developing the work environment is a priority to enhance performance and ensure best practices for professional advancement, reflecting the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s continuous efforts to develop the work environment and provide practical capabilities and expertise capable of positively impacting the experience of pilgrims. It is noted that the Employee Engagement Program by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development aims to create a motivating work environment that contributes to improving public sector employee performance, which in turn enhances the quality of services provided, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
