Minister of Hajj and Umrah concludes his visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, concluded today his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Hajj and Umrah system and the program of serving the guests of Rahman, and representatives of the private sector, during which he discussed with the relevant authorities and heads of Umrah companies, ways to develop and enrich the journey of Azerbaijani Umrah pilgrims, and raise the level of coordination between the two countries to benefit from the various facilities and initiatives provided by the Kingdom to the pilgrims, in increasing the number of people coming from Azerbaijan to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet's Mosque, stressing the Kingdom's keenness to Enabling the largest number of Umrah pilgrims to perform the ritual.During the visit, Al-Rabiah met with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev, and briefed him on the initiatives provided by the Saudi government in the service of the pilgrims, the future vision for the development of the pilgrim's journey, and the efforts made to increase the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from all over the world and develop the service of the pilgrims, pointing to raising the absorptive capacity of the Two Holy Mosques, in order to provide the opportunity for the largest number of Muslims to perform Umrah, in addition to the enrichment initiatives represented in the rehabilitation of historical sites in Makkah and Medina. He pointed to the continuation of work on the development of more digital services that complement the work of the "Nusuk" platform within the framework of efforts to raise the efficiency of procedures for those coming to perform Umrah from all over the world. He also discussed with the head of the Caucasus Muslim Administration, His Eminence Sheikh Shukrullah Pashazadeh, facilitating the arrival of Azerbaijani pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, visiting historical sites in Mecca and Medina, and reviewed with the Chairman of the State Committee of Religious Organizations in charge, Mr. Sayyad Adil Oglu Salahi, opportunities and initiatives that ensure enriching the experience of pilgrims coming from Azerbaijan. Al-Rabiah announced the increase in the number of direct flights from "Baku" to "Jeddah" via flynas, from 3 to 7 flights per week, in order to raise the efficiency of transporting Umrah pilgrims throughout the year, especially during the next Ramadan Umrah, calling for taking advantage of visa facilities and their advantages in enhancing the Umrah experience, explaining that the Republic of Azerbaijan is one of the countries whose citizens can obtain an electronic visa, and come to perform Umrah with many advantages, including visiting Islamic historical sites and various tourist destinations, and moving in All regions of the Kingdom and attend cultural events. During his visit to Azerbaijan, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah discussed with His Excellency the Minister of Economy, Mr. Mikail Jabrov, the development of relations and strengthening cooperation in order to increase the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from Azerbaijan, and to improve the services provided from arrival to departure. He also met with heads of Umrah companies and representatives of the private sector in Azerbaijan, reviewing the opportunities available to develop the journey of pilgrims, raise the efficiency of services and procedures for a rich and smooth experience in the Two Holy Mosques, and improve their experience in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
