ZATCA announced a decision by the Minister of Finance extending the fines and financial penalties waiver initiative for taxpayers under all tax systems for six Gregorian months from 1 January 2026, ending 30 June 2026. The waiver covers fines for late tax registration, late payment, late return filing, VAT return correction, and field-control violations related to e-invoicing and other general VAT provisions. To benefit, a taxpayer must be registered, submit all due returns, and pay the principal tax debt (with the option to request installments); fines for tax evasion violations and fines already paid before the initiative's effective date are excluded.
