ZATCA Urges Individuals to Give Zakat "Voluntary" via ZAKATY

ZATCA is urging individuals to pay zakat voluntarily via the Zakaty app or zakaty.gov.sa, which calculates zakat on cash, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds and real estate held for trade, issues an invoice, and sends reminders. The Authority said zakat collected through Zakaty has exceeded SAR 904 million since the service launched nine years ago, all channeled to social-security beneficiaries registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, including families most in need of housing, divorced women's families and prisoners' families. Payments can be made via Sadad, Apple Pay, mada and other secure methods under the supervision of zakat jurisprudence and accounting specialists.
