Al-Hadithah Customs Foils Smuggling Attempt of More Than 426,000 Tablets of the Narcotic "Amphetamine"

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the Al-Hadithah border crossing foiled a smuggling attempt involving 426,162 amphetamine tablets, discovered hidden inside the spare tire cavities of a truck entering the Kingdom. ZATCA's official spokesperson Hammoud Al-Harbi stated that the tablets were detected through customs inspection procedures using security technology and physical inspection methods. He affirmed that ZATCA continues to tighten customs control across all its border crossings in coordination with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control, and invited the public to report smuggling via the dedicated line (1910), email (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or international number (009661910), with financial rewards offered for verified tips.
