"ZATCA" Carries Out More Than 61,000 Inspection Visits During the Second Quarter of 2026

"زاتكا" تُنفذ أكثر من 61 ألف زيارة تفتيشية خلال الربع الثاني من عام 2026م

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) carried out more than 61,000 inspection visits during the second quarter of 2026 to markets and commercial stores across the Kingdom's regions and cities, in cooperation with relevant entities. Official spokesperson Hammoud Al-Harbi said the visits covered sectors including retail, gold, and tobacco shops, and that the most common violations detected were failure to issue electronic invoices, failure to collect value-added tax, and tobacco products without tax stamps. He noted the visits aim to strengthen compliance with the Kingdom's tax regulations, and that the Authority offers incentive rewards to those reporting tax violations equal to 2.5% of the value of violations and fines, capped at a maximum of one million riyals and a minimum of 1,000 riyals.
