Saudi Red Sea Authority: More Than a Sea
الهيئة السعودية للبحر الأحمر تُطلق حملة "أكثر من بحر"
The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) launched a campaign titled "More Than a Sea" built around four pillars of its role: regulation, sustainability, attracting investment, and promoting tourism experiences in the Red Sea. SRSA has issued 7 regulations with relevant entities to regulate coastal tourism activities, including a Saudi yacht regulation covering technical and tourism chartering licenses and safety requirements, and rules for water-toy activities requiring approvals, usage guides, response plans, and life jackets. On sustainability, SRSA leads efforts with public and private entities on marine environment protection, nautical maps, waste management, mooring buoys, and weather monitoring stations. In line with Vision 2030, SRSA's goals for coastal tourism are to contribute SAR 85 billion to GDP, raise spending to SAR 123 billion, and create 210,000 jobs by 2030.
