SRSA Signs MoU with the Heritage Commission

On February 6, 2024, the Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Heritage Commission to define general frameworks for cooperation in areas of common jurisdiction. The MoU covers exchange of expertise on the Red Sea's underwater cultural heritage, joint proposals on related regulations, marine and underwater heritage survey and excavation permit requirements, marine heritage preservation measures, and support for registering sites within SRSA's domain on the UNESCO World Heritage List. SRSA was represented by Acting CEO Mohammed Al-Asiri and the Heritage Commission by CEO Dr. Jasser bin Suleiman Al-Harbash.
