The Council of Ministers Transfers the Competency of Issuing Professional Licenses to the Authority

مجلس الوزراء ينقل اختصاص إصدار التراخيص المهنية إلى الهيئة

The Council of Ministers announced in its session on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, a decision to transfer the authority for issuing professional licenses in accounting and auditing from the Ministry of Commerce to the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA). The transfer covers licensing for the accounting and auditing profession, non-securities financial consultancy, zakat and tax services, and accounting services, aimed at strengthening SOCPA's oversight of licensees and the quality of their professional performance.
