The Authority Refers a Certified Public Accountant and Two Firms to the Public Prosecution
الهيئة تُحيل إلى النيابة العامة محاسباً قانونياً ومنشأتين
The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants referred a former certified public accountant, whose license had been revoked, and two commercial establishments to the Public Prosecution. Monitoring procedures found the accountant issued a financial statement audit report after his license was revoked, and found the two establishments offering accounting and audit services via their websites and social media without a professional license, both classified as criminalized acts under Article 10 of the Accounting and Auditing Profession Law, which criminalizes misleading the public into believing a person may practice without a valid license, or where a license has been revoked or suspended. The Authority urged the public to verify licensees via its official website and report violations through its approved channels.
