The Authority Holds a Roundtable Meeting to Discuss the International Standard for Sustainability Information Assurance (5000)

As part of its procedures for adopting international professional standards in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants, represented by its Auditing Standards Board, held a roundtable meeting on Monday 28/4/1447 AH (20/10/2025) to discuss the International Standard on Sustainability Assurance (ISSA 5000), titled "General Requirements for Sustainability Assurance Engagements." The meeting included a detailed Arabic-language presentation by representatives of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), and participants from relevant supervisory bodies and specialists provided their views on the standard's requirements. The Organization had previously published an Arabic translation of the standard along with the Auditing Standards Board's preliminary adoption recommendation on its website, and the Board will proceed to complete the adoption procedures in the near future.
