The Authority seizes two unlicensed establishments and refers them to the Public Prosecution

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants conducted field visits in response to complaints about entities unlawfully claiming the right to practice accounting and auditing, resulting in two unlicensed establishments being referred to the Public Prosecution. The first establishment, licensed for financial and administrative consulting, promoted accounting and auditing services on its website without holding the required professional licence; the second, licensed for zakat and tax accounting, offered to issue financial statements through a "legal accountant" without the necessary licence. Both cases were recorded under Article Ten of the Accounting and Auditing Profession Law, which criminalises misleading the public into believing an entity is authorised to practise the profession, and the Authority warned that violators face penalties of up to five years' imprisonment and fines of up to two million riyals.
