The Authority Joins Membership of the International Auditing Standards Setters Group and the International Ethics Standards Setters Group

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA), represented by its Auditing Standards Board and Professional Ethics Committee, participated in the periodic meetings of the International Auditing Standards Setters Group and the International Ethics Standards Setters Group, held in New York. The two groups welcomed SOCPA as the first Arab professional body to join their membership, recognizing the importance of its experience in implementing international standards. SOCPA's CEO, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mughammas, stated that the membership reflects the growing importance and development of the accounting and auditing profession in Saudi Arabia and its active contribution to international standard-setting efforts.
