The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) issued a report addressing the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants' (SOCPA) initiative to make its 'SOCPA' fellowship available to professionals worldwide, describing it as a fundamental transformation in the accounting profession internationally. IFAC stated the initiative is a strategic tool to increase qualified accountants able to contribute to Saudi Vision 2030 goals, and called it a pioneering model for professional organizations globally in enhancing cooperation and professional mobility. The report noted the initiative is consistent with the global nature of the profession, which relies on internationally developed standards applied locally in financial reporting, auditing, professional ethics, and sustainability standards.
