Conclusion of the International Federation of Accountants Forum Events

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) concluded the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) forum in Riyadh, themed "Leading Transformation and Innovation: Global Priorities," attended by over 800 experts and 160 leaders. SOCPA CEO Dr. Ahmed Al-Maghames announced an initiative to establish an "International Accounting and Auditing Knowledge Center" based in Riyadh, working in partnership with regional professional and regulatory bodies. IFAC also announced that Saudi Arabia is the only country in the Middle East to have adopted the full set of international standards. The conference included four sessions covering AI's impact, the future of corporate sustainability reporting, the future of the profession, and the impact of major transformations on the accounting profession, noting a 40% increase in companies disclosing sustainability.
