Number of Professional Accounting Certificate Holders Rises to 5,472 Accountants

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants reports that the total number of professional accounting certificate holders has reached 5,472 accountants, according to its Statistical Report on Professional Examinations covering the period from 1994 to 2023. The report covers three examinations: the Fellowship exam, the VAT Specialist exam, and the Accounting Technician exam, tracking trends in applicant volume, pass rates, and candidate performance. Fellowship exam applicants grew by more than 650% over the past decade, rising from 1,002 candidates in 2013 to 8,703 in 2023, while holders of the VAT Specialist certificate increased by 125% and Accounting Technician certificate holders by 650% between 2019 and 2023.
