SOCPA Issues a Guide on Audit Quality Indicators

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants has issued a Guide on Audit Quality Indicators as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the accounting and auditing profession. The guide aims to clarify the concept of audit quality indicators and their role in evaluating and improving audit engagement quality, while highlighting the role of audit committees in monitoring quality and making decisions based on clear, measurable criteria. It includes a set of proposed indicators that audit firms, audit committees, and other stakeholders may adopt according to their operational circumstances, with flexibility in selecting relevant indicators. The guide is a non-binding reference and does not replace international auditing standards or the International Code of Ethics.
