The Authority Approves the Update on Tax Planning Activities and Services

The Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee at the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) approved an update on tax planning activities and services issued by the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, aimed at maintaining the relevance of the International Code of Ethics. The update adds two new sections to the Code — Section 280 "Tax Planning and Related Services" for accountants in business, and Section 380 "Tax Planning Services" for accountants in public practice — providing behavioral guidance on their role and responsibility regarding tax planning arrangements.
