More than 100 International Standards Applied in the Accounting and Auditing Profession

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) continues to oversee the application of more than 100 international standards in accounting and auditing, including International Financial Reporting Standards, International Standards on Auditing and Assurance, International Standards on Quality Management, and international standards of professional conduct and ethics. CEO Dr. Ahmed Al-Maghamis stated that adopting these standards reflects the Kingdom's commitment to regulating the profession per the highest global standards, noting SOCPA has developed mechanisms to adopt updates from international standard-setting boards and participates in international consultative groups on standard development.
