The Authority Selected Among 14 International Professional Councils for Membership in the International Forum of Accounting Standards Advisory Councils

The Board of Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, which oversees the International Accounting Standards Board, announced the formation of the International Forum of Accounting Standards Advisory Councils, which includes the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) among 14 international professional councils. The forum's role is to provide technical advice to the IASB on preparing and updating international standards; its membership is restricted to professional bodies and it is chaired by the IASB chair or vice-chair.
