The Authority Enhances Its Data Governance and Digital Capabilities with the "Morakhkhas" Platform

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) launched the "Morakhkhas" platform for professional licensing, which has cut license issuance times and converted 12 regulatory procedures to 100% electronic processing across all stages of the licensing journey, handling more than 1,000 licensing and professional service requests since its launch in May. The platform implements Council of Ministers Resolution No. (571) dated 05/08/1446 AH, which transferred the authority to issue professional licenses — covering accounting and auditing, non-securities financial consultancy, zakat and tax services, and accounting services — from the Ministry of Commerce to SOCPA. Of the requests received, 403 were practice license issuances, 180 were license renewals, and more than 500 covered other professional services.
