Launch of the Scientific Committee's Work for the Arabian Shield Rock Sequence Project

The Saudi Geological Survey launched the work of a scientific committee for the Arabian Shield Rock Sequence project, one of the projects under the General Geological Survey Program initiative within the Authority's "Nadlab" initiatives. Official spokesperson Tariq Abalkhail said the effort brings together, for the first time, leading geologists from various global scientific centers to classify rock units in the Arabian Shield based on modern scientific theories of its formation, ahead of the geological mapping project. The committee includes scientists and researchers from Saudi Arabia, the United States, Australia, Europe, China, and Authority experts.
