The Saudi Geological Survey launched the second batch of reliable, high-quality geological data packages aimed at adding value to the mining sector and boosting local and foreign investment attractiveness. Official spokesperson Tarek Aba Al-Khail said the new packages cover 30% of the Arabian Shield area, bringing publication on the National Geological Database platform to 60% since the initiative began, and comprise surface geochemical survey and airborne geophysical survey data from the general geological survey program. The packages also include core drilling sample optical scan base data and more than 4,000 technical reports attached to mineralization sites in digital format, plus newly registered mineralization sites on the national geological information database platform.
