President of the Saudi Geological Survey Affirms the Importance of Geological Survey Data of the Arabian Shield in Enhancing Exploratory Cooperation with Africa during the Egypt Mining Forum

The President of the Saudi Geological Survey, Eng. Abdullah Al-Shamrani, highlighted the Arabian Shield regional geological survey work and its role in enhancing exploration cooperation with the Nubian Shield in Africa, and how National Geological Database (NGD) data supports correlation and comparison in understanding the region's geological structure and tectonic evolution. He also noted the contribution of this data to rock composition analysis and mineral and geochemical similarity comparisons, and praised the role of Saudi Vision 2030 and its initiatives in reducing risks for investors and facilitating data access. This came during his participation in a dialogue session at the Egypt Mining Forum.
