"The Geological" Collects Approximately 88,000 Geochemical Samples Within the High-Resolution Geochemical Survey Project of the Arabian Shield

Geochemistry specialists at the Saudi Geological Survey have collected approximately 88,000 geochemical samples from wadi sediments in record time as part of the High-Resolution Geochemical Survey Project of the Arabian Shield, which covers an area of 540,000 km² and analyses 76 elements per sample. The project, part of the General Geological Survey Programme initiative, uses wadi sediments and heavy mineral concentrations to generate high-quality geochemical data aimed at feeding the national geological database, stimulating mineral exploration, attracting local and foreign investment in the mining sector, and supporting sectors such as water, infrastructure, and the environment.
