Saudi Commission for Health Specialties: Breach of Professional Ethics Exposes the Health Practitioner to Regulatory Procedures

"التخصصات الصحية": الإخلال بأخلاقيات المهنة يعرّض الممارس الصحي للإجراءات النظامية

No action neededAwareness

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties stated that adherence to healthcare professional ethics is a binding professional and regulatory obligation, not merely guidance, tied to registration, professional classification, and membership. It said practitioners are bound by the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions and its executive regulation, the Health Practitioner Code of Ethics, and the Charter of Healthcare Professions Ethics. The Commission said breaching professional ethics exposes practitioners to regulatory and disciplinary measures under the Committee for Reviewing Violations of Working Members, which may include referral to professional evaluation, suspension, or cancellation of membership.
