The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties signed a cooperation agreement with the Special Olympics Saudi Arabia Federation at its Riyadh headquarters, aimed at building a comprehensive health system supporting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The agreement was signed by the Commission's Executive Director of Member Experience, Mishari bin Omar Al-Omar, and the Federation's CEO, Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Qurashi. It covers cooperation in awareness and health services, exchanging expertise, designing training programs and workshops for medical staff, creating volunteer opportunities for health practitioners within Special Olympics activities, and joint research on health and intellectual/developmental disability.
