International Report Calling for the Integration of Collaborative Interprofessional Education Among Health Specialties

تقرير دولي يدعو إلى إدماج التعليم البيني التشاركي بين التخصصات الصحية

No action neededAwareness

The World Health Organization, in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, issued a report on integrating interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP) across health education levels in the Kingdom. The report found leadership support and institutional momentum but noted challenges including the absence of a unified competency framework, conceptual confusion between interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary education, and limited faculty preparation programs. It recommended creating a unified competency framework aligned with national and international standards and forming a national regulatory body to govern IPECP, while classifying the Kingdom's current initiative as being in the "development" stage.
