SAMA Governor Meets with Governor of Central Bank of Syria to Enhance Cooperation

On Monday, 15 September 2025, on the sidelines of the Money20/20 Middle East conference in Riyadh, SAMA Governor Ayman bin Mohammed Al-Sayari met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Abdulqader Al-Hasriya, to discuss joint cooperation in the financial services sector, including banking supervision, fintech, payments, monetary policy, and transfer operations. The two sides also agreed to continue communication and future bilateral visits, and the Syrian governor separately held bilateral meetings with senior officials of a number of Saudi banks.
