SAMA Holds Meeting with CEOs of Open Banking Companies

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) held a meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Riyadh with CEOs of open banking companies, attended by Deputy Governor for Financial Innovation Noura bint Mohammed Al-Bakr and SAMA executive directors and department managers. The meeting discussed developments in the Kingdom's open banking ecosystem, marking the transition of companies from the regulatory sandbox to licensing, and addressed compliance with operational and regulatory priorities for the upcoming phase. The meeting is part of a series of regular meetings SAMA holds with financial institutions under its supervision.
