SAMA Holds Meeting with CEOs of Open Banking Companies

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) held a meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Riyadh with CEOs of open banking companies, attended by Deputy Governor for Financial Innovation Nora Al-Bakr, executive directors, and department directors from SAMA. The meeting reviewed developments in Saudi Arabia's open banking ecosystem, marking the companies' transition from the Regulatory Sandbox to licensing, and focused on compliance with operational and regulatory priorities for the upcoming phase. The meeting was part of a series of regular meetings SAMA hosts with financial institutions under its supervision.
