SAMA: E-Payments Account for 85% of Total Retail Payments in 2025

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) reported that electronic payments accounted for 85% of total retail payment transactions by the end of 2025, up from 79% in 2024. National payment systems processed approximately 14.6 billion electronic payment transactions in 2025, compared to 12.6 billion in 2024, with the "mada" national payment system recording record figures for card payments through points of sale and e-commerce.
