SAMA Hosts BIS Innovation Summit

البنك المركزي السعودي يستضيف قمة الابتكار بالتعاون مع بنك التسويات الدولية

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), in cooperation with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), hosted the Middle East and Africa Innovation Summit in Riyadh on Wednesday and Thursday, November 19-20, 2025, to discuss the future of innovation in the financial sector. The two-day summit was attended by SAMA Governor Ayman Al-Sayari and BIS General Manager Pablo Hernández de Cos, along with central bank governors and experts from the public and private sectors and academia across the Middle East, Africa, and the international community. Discussions covered international efforts on cross-border payment systems, progress on the G20 roadmap for enhancing cross-border payments, and the balance between innovation and financial stability.
