SAMA Confirms Safety of Payment Systems and Banking Systems in Saudi Arabia

On 19/07/2024, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) confirmed the safety of its own systems, national payment systems, and banking systems in the Kingdom, stating they were unaffected by the technical outage that impacted many entities worldwide. SAMA said it applies the highest internationally recognized operational and cybersecurity standards for its systems and national payment systems, and periodically updates precautionary procedures to ensure business continuity and the efficiency of banking and payment systems.
