Alsayari: The Financial Sector Conference Seeks to Enhance the Kingdom’s Financial Position and Highlight Investment Opportunities

SAMA Governor Ayman Al-Sayari discussed the second Financial Sector Conference, organized by the Financial Sector Development Program partners (Ministry of Finance, Saudi Central Bank, and Capital Market Authority), held March 15-16, 2023 in Riyadh, saying it aims to enhance the Kingdom's financial standing and showcase investment opportunities. He cited 2022 achievements including the fintech strategy launch, an updated regulatory sandbox framework, an open banking framework, the Fintech Saudi center, 147 active fintech companies, non-cash transactions reaching 57%, over one million POS devices, and Cabinet approval to license a new digital bank, bringing the total of licensed digital banks to three.
