SAMA Issues Fees Guide for Financial Institutions’ Services

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has issued the "Fees Guide for Financial Institutions' Services," which will replace the currently applicable "Banking Tariff" upon entering into force. The Guide applies to all financial institutions under SAMA's supervision and oversight, including payment companies, and represents the first edition in terms of institutions covered and the third edition for the banking sector. It aims to promote financial inclusion through fair and accessible fees, enhance disclosure and transparency, support digital transformation, and strengthen customer protection. The Guide includes amendments to a number of fees, such as reductions to the maximum fees on certain financial services for individual customers, including administrative fees on financing products, Mada card reissuance, international purchases and cash withdrawals, and transfers from bank accounts and e-wallets.
