Enhancing Collaboration Between “SAIP” and “ZATCA” to Protect Creativity

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) and the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance import control procedures for trademark enforcement at border crossings and reduce trademark violations. The memorandum covers consumer awareness against counterfeit goods, electronic integration between the two entities for information exchange, and joint development of inspection fieldwork mechanisms.
