Under the theme “FeelTheBeat” SAIP Celebrates World IP Day 2025

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) joined the global celebration of World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, for which the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) dedicated this year's theme to "Intellectual Property and Music." SAIP noted that musical works are protected subject matter under the Copyright Law, including melodies, lyrics combined with melodies, and neighboring rights outlined in the Executive Regulations such as vocal performances and sound recordings. The release also noted that Saudi Arabia became a member of WIPO in 1982.
