الاعتماد السعودي ينظم ورشة عمل حول مؤشر البنية التحتية للجودة للتنمية المستدامة "QI4SD"
The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) organized a two-day workshop focused on the Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development Index (QI4SD), an initiative by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The workshop was attended by His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, and the CEO Dr. Adel bin Abdulrahman bin Alkeaid, with active participation from experts and stakeholders representing eight relevant government entities, alongside international experts. During the workshop, the index was reviewed, which aims to establish frameworks for summarizing the current status and readiness of the quality infrastructure in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The components of quality infrastructure measured by the index—Standards, Metrology, Accreditation, Conformity Assessment, and Policy—were also addressed. Experts from UNIDO explained the methodology and measurement techniques, utilizing scientific data collection and analysis methods, while representatives from government entities shared their insights regarding the current state of quality infrastructure in the Kingdom. SAAC continues to collaborate with relevant government bodies to host specialized workshops aimed at advancing the Kingdom’s quality infrastructure. These efforts ensure the achievement of the highest quality levels in international indices, fulfilling the Center's mission to provide innovative and reliable accreditation services in partnership with stakeholders within the quality ecosystem.
