Saudi Accreditation Center Celebrates Obtaining International Recognition

The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) held a ceremony at its headquarters on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 30 Muharram 1443H, to highlight its journey in obtaining international recognition and to appreciate the efforts made to achieve this important national milestone; the Center had previously obtained international recognition from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) on 2 Muharram 1443H, in the fields of accreditation of testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, and inspection bodies, an achievement that comes as a culmination of the Center’s efforts across five main stages, including a peer evaluation process conducted by a team of international assessors, which lasted for one year in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17011 standard, to ensure the Center’s competence and readiness.
