REGA: Next Thursday Marks End of Property Registration Period for 18 Districts in Riyadh and Makkah

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced that the first phase of real estate title registration closes at the end of Thursday, 25 Safar 1446 AH (29 August 2024) for 18 districts across Riyadh and Makkah — 10 districts in Riyadh City and 8 districts in Makkah. Property owners are urged to register through the Real Estate Registry Platform (rer.sa) before the deadline to access real estate transaction services and documentation of property updates. Failure to register within the specified period will expose owners to financial penalties under the Real Estate Registration Law, as determined by a specialized violations committee. REGA noted that registration applications will continue to be accepted in all announced regions even after the deadline passes.
