REGA Announces Extension of Application Period for Joining Regulatory Sandbox for PropTech Companies

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced an extension, by an additional two months, of the application period for startups to join its Regulatory Sandbox for PropTech companies, part of the Saudi PropTech Hub (SPH). Spokesperson Taiseer bin Mohammed Al-Mufarrej said the extension supports growth of real estate startups in line with Saudi Vision 2030; REGA had originally opened applications last October during the Global PropTech Summit. The sandbox tests innovative real estate technology models for compliance with current systems and legislation. REGA also noted it recently launched the PropTech Business Accelerator with the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) and partner Startup Wise Guys.
