REGA Announces Launch of "Real Estate Registry" Operations in Madinah

الهيئة العامة للعقار تُعلن انطلاق عمليات "السجل العقاري" في المدينة المنورة

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA), in the presence of HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Madinah Region, and HE Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and Chairman of REGA's Board, announced the commencement of Real Estate Title Registration ("Real Estate Registry") in the Madinah Region, under an agreement between REGA and Madinah Region Municipality dividing the area into designated regions comprising several districts; specific benefiting districts will be announced gradually. REGA stated the Law of Real Estate Registration, issued under a Cabinet Resolution, aims to increase ownership reliability, improve property information accuracy, protect stakeholders' rights, and enhance the sector's investment attractiveness, establishing a comprehensive registry covering all real estate types nationwide. The Madinah Region Municipality said it has completed 45% of aerial image processing and elevation correction and 30% of base map updates in preparation.
