REGA Presents Off-Plan Real Estate Projects Sale and Lease Law Violations Table for Public Consultation

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) has published a proposed violations table for the Off-Plan Real Estate Projects Sale and Lease Law on the Istitlaa platform for public consultation, open until 23 August 2024. The table covers 26 specific violations with penalties including financial fines of up to 500,000 Saudi riyals, deletion from the developers' registry, cancellation of approvals, and temporary bans from the activity. Violations addressed include delays in project implementation, developer default or bankruptcy, use of non-standard contracts, providing misleading information, and failure to fulfill buyer rights. REGA invites the public, government entities, and private sector stakeholders to submit feedback through the Istitlaa platform before official approval.
