REGA Conducts 33 Inspection Tours Last Month with Participation of Government Entities to Raise Compliance Level in Real Estate Market

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) conducted over 33 inspection tours during January, covering 6,543 real estate establishments in the Riyadh, Eastern, and Makkah regions, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, to raise compliance with real estate legislation, particularly the Real Estate Brokerage Law. REGA also received 1,219 reports through its channels and reviewed over 6,000 real estate advertisements electronically, detecting more than 6,380 violations across all tracks, including unlicensed brokerage, operating after license expiration, and unrecorded transactions. REGA warned that penalties may include warnings, license suspension or revocation, or financial fines, and that repeat violations within three years may result in doubled penalties.
