REGA: First Real Estate Legislation for Facility Management to Be Issued in Q1 2024

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced that it will issue the first legislation regulating facility management in the Saudi real estate sector during the first quarter of 2024. The announcement was made by REGA's Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, at the MEFMA ConFex 2023 conference held in Riyadh on 15–16 October 2023. Al-Hammad noted that facility management is currently regulated under the Real Estate Brokerage Law, and that the forthcoming legislation will include regulatory provisions aimed at organising and governing facility management to enhance the real estate sector's governance, reliability, and investment appeal.
