The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) affirmed that technology plays a crucial role in enhancing the transparency and efficiency of real estate transactions, with digitally documented contracts providing legal guarantees to all parties in the event of disputes. REGA has adopted the unified lease contract issued by the Ministry of Justice as an executive instrument, enabling electronic documentation of brokerage contracts and registration of lease incidents through the Ejar platform, and supports authentication of electronic title deeds, commercial registers, and real estate broker credentials. Real estate technologies also provide secure electronic payment channels, reduce reliance on cash, and enable electronic documentation of property conditions through photos and videos. REGA made these remarks in connection with the Global PropTech Summit, which concluded on Monday, 28 October 2024.
