20 Real Estate Legislation Contributed to Classifying Saudi Real Estate Market as Most Improved Globally

The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) states that more than 20 fundamental real estate laws it has issued contributed to classifying the Saudi real estate market as the most improved globally under the Global Real Estate Transparency Index 2024. Key legislation includes the Real Estate Unit Ownership, Subdivision and Management Law; the Law of Real Estate Registration, under which over 1.3 million real estate maps have been corrected and over 350,000 title deeds registered, with a national target of registering 8 million properties; the Real Estate Brokerage Law, under which around 60,000 licensed brokers now practice; and the Real Estate Contributions Law and the Off-Plan Real Estate Projects Sale and Lease Law, under which over 130 project licenses worth a combined SAR 200 billion have been issued over the past two years.
