International Conference on Learning Cities in Jubail Industrial City

Eng. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, inaugurated the discussion sessions of the Sixth International Conference on Learning Cities 2024, hosted by Jubail Industrial City from December 2 to 5 and organized by the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities. The conference brought together experts, decision-makers, and government and non-governmental representatives from around the world to address sustainable education and climate action. Working sessions covered partnerships for lifelong learning and climate action, promoting health in urban areas, community learning centers for green communities, innovative financing for urban climate education, and the role of universities in making learning cities climate-resilient.
