The Public Prosecution Council approves the establishment of the Intellectual Property Prosecution

مجلس النيابة العامة يقرّ إنشاء نيابة الملكية الفكرية

The Public Prosecution Council, chaired by the Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mu'jab, approved the establishment of the Intellectual Property Prosecution, in implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This prosecution will handle investigation and initiation of criminal proceedings in cases involving violations of intellectual property rights under the Trademarks Law and the Copyright Protection Law referred by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, in addition to the Patents, Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits, Plant Varieties, and Industrial Designs Law.
